[OotB4] It's Hoofball Time

The game of Hoofball consists of 10 Enivi, five on each team. The object of the game is to earn points by getting your team’s ball into the opposing team’s net. In concept, this seems relatively straightforward, but there is a multitude of rules for Enivi to follow to keep the game safe and fair. Here are some of the rules: 

1. When the ball is in play, it must stay within the bounds of the field.
2. When a ball is kicked out of bounds, the team that didn’t kick it out of bounds is brought back into the game.
3. Once a team scores, the ball must be handed over to the opposite team
4. The other team can intercept the ball at any time the ball is in play
5. Tackling/checking other players are allowed
6. Intentional tripping is not allowed and is considered a personal foul
7. Head-to-head hits are not permitted and might lead to being kicked out of the game
8. After a score has been made, the scoring team has a chance to earn another point. This is done through a “free-kick,” where a player is selected to kick the ball into the net. Of course, the opposing team may impede this ball from reaching the net, but only after the ball is in motion. 

The ball that is used in Hoofball is made out of a rubber-like material. Typically it is very colorful, but some balls are duller. There is one head coach, but there are several other coaches under them. These are a defensive coach, an offensive coach, and an assistant coach. The game is called Hoofball because hooves are mainly used to play the game, although sometimes players may use their heads and horns to move the ball down the field. Proper equipment consists of, a helmet, armor-like body padding, shin/leg guards, and specialized shoes that give the wearer more traction.
