Ignis take a Side quest

Ignis walked through the town on his way out to collect some ore for the forage. All three of the smiths needed more, so Terra had sent him on this errand while he and Eira ran the shop. Grumpily, Ignis looked around, trying to find someone in their group to pawn this off on. *Stupid Ios would be perfect, he loves doing dumb shit like this*, Ignis thought with malic. As he scanned the area his eye caught on a new notice on the board; squinting he approached. Jerri needed ore too? Hmm perfect, Ignis could get something out of this at the end of it all. The now smiling Ignis proceeded to walk through the gates and into the mountains. They knew it would be a bit of a hike, Jerri's forge was one town over and about a day's journey from the mountain he was going to. He doubted Terra or Eira would care though, as long as he was back within three days. He would miss Sherbet though, the doofus had grown on him in the past few months and his presence had become a surprising constant in Ignis's life.

The Enivi walked towards the mountain and into the mine that their forge had the right to. It was purchased by Terra well before Ignis had joined the forge. To Ignis's knowledge, it was a surprisingly good purchase, as it had copper and iron running through it. Though when Terra bought it, he was told it only had coal; the irony of this was that coal had never been found in this cave. The original purpose of this mine, Ignis was told, was supposed to be to fuel the forage. Instead, it was now the main source of ore for them. Nobody particularly minded, especially considering that the ore prices had been slowly going up.

He looked around for a vane and found one, using his magic he picked up a pick axe from the entrance and began to chip away. Eira and Terra both wanted iron, whereas he needed both iron and copper. He mined 10 extra ore for Jerri as well, which barely added any time to the mining task. Though, mining did take him most of the day because of the large amount his forge needed. Yawning he set the pick axe down and stretched. He had not realized how much time had passed and it was slowly starting to get dark.

He decided to stay in the cave for the night. They had previously carved a small room for sleeping, specifically for times like these. When he woke up he picked up the ten ore and put them into a bag, he would pick up the rest later. As he walked out of the mine he saw a dark body Ortusi sniffing around some trees. Rolling his eyes he shouted out, "IOS WHAT ARE YOU DOING?"

The large Enivi looked up in shock, "Oh, hi Ignis! Whatcha doing out here?"

"Mining, what does it look like?" The fiery Lunaesi snarled.

"Oh, yeah you are right! I am looking for some mushrooms for the witches, have you seen any?" Ios asked, always the gentle one.

"Ios, I don't know what the difference between mushrooms is, even if I saw them I wouldn't be any help. You are the forager, not me."

"True! Hey, wait where are you going? The town isn't that way!!!"

Ignis had already turned after their previous reply and had started walking away only to come to a complete stop at Ios's words. "I am going to Scavenborough, Jerri needs ore, so I am providing some."

"Oooooooh, can I come with you? I haven't seen the mushrooms I need and I think there are some over there."

"Do whatever you want, just do not slow me down."

The two Enivi began to walk towards the other town. Ignis glared at the much larger Ortusi occasionally. No one knew why Ignis did not like Ios, even Ignis. Maybe it was his easygoing nature that cause him grief, he would never get how someone could not have a care in the world. A day had passed and they reached the town, Ios stayed outside of it because he found a cluster of mushrooms. Ignis continued into Jerri's forge on his own. "Hey Jerri, I brought you your ore..."

The peppy Enivi came over and happily collected their ore. Ignis sat there and exchange pleasantries despite his annoyance at them. Eventually, the other Enivi gave him a weapon. "Thank you, I will be on my way."

"Okay, tell Terra and Eira I say hi!"

"Will do."

Ignis walked back to where Ios was, "Let's go home."

Ios bounced to his side and nodded, "Yeah!"

The pair walked back to their town and made it back within a day. Ignis dropped off the ore at the forge and Ios went to find the witches. "Jerri says hi to you two."

Eira and Terra looked at Ignis in confusion, but the fire-colored Enivi had already left, presumably home after a long tiring journey.
