Into the Dark Forest - Ryakuya

Ryakuya never backed down from a challenge, especially one that presents such a rare opportunity. From a young age he had fully dedicated himself to the pursuit of knowledge, and combined with his nature to never keep still, it had bred in him a strong sense for adventure. The dark forest for him was no scary challenge. He knew how to keep his wits about him, and he found navigation to be an easy task for him , besides, it wasn’t the first time he was venturing into the dark forest. Ryakuya had studied as much as he could, but of course there was only so much information one could garner from books. There was nothing like first hand knowledge.

That and of course there was no book that could tell him exactly how to reach the verdant hollow. Some of his readings were also…. Less than satisfactory to him. To him it wasn’t really logical to assume so much of a group, but then again, perhaps he was more social than his peers, or would be peers of the past that is. He was and odd sort to many at least. He loved learning about tradition, but he wasan’t always the biggest follower of them.

Before he headed out, Ryakuya made sure to reread all the notes on the dark forest that he had. after all, Ryakuya had no desire to get eaten by a tree, or any other creature that might be lurking around. Of course, it was one thing to read about identifying a threat, it was another to actually do it, but of course, there was no pre practice for this kind of thing. The only way to learn was by doing. His mother was herself not the adventurous sort of Lunaesi, scarcely ever leaving their homeland herself, and thus she was not the biggest fan of her son taking trip. There were other Lunaesi going it, he could just as well learn from them, but even his mother already knew her words wouldn’t stop him, they hadn’t even before.

Ryakuya debated if we would try to map his journey, traveling at night wasn’t the wisest thing, and as it was, the stars would be hard to see through the trees. Still he brought his tools with him to map things out, just in case that was what h so desired to do. With adventure in his heart he set fourth into the. Dark forest.
