Dark Heart
Dark Heart
A Novel
One would think a source of warmth and light in a world engulfed in frigid darkness would be welcome, but in the time before herds it was the bringer of death and destruction. A thunderous beat of wings and an explosive burst of flames marked the final moments for many in those bygone times. The colossal, nameless dragon that prowled the lands knew no equal. It would slither through the thick darkness, relentlessly hunting its next prey to fill its insatiable hunger.
It took the united efforts of a group destined to become the Enivi, led by Ortus, to rise against and conquer the dragon, putting an end to its reign of terror. The creature's heart, once claimed, was elevated to the sky, ushering in the daylight and safety we now cherish. Yet, the great beast persists, concealed within the shadowed realms of the sky, patiently awaiting its opportune moment for revenge.
The Ice Giants
The Ice Giants
A Novel
Little is known about the era before Eniv, a time when the people here were not yet known as Enivi, harboring their souls within, hesitant to forge connections with one another. What is known is that the land was a realm veiled in darkness and cold, where colossal Ice Giants freely roamed, leaving a deadly freeze in their wake.
Upon Ortus’ return with the hard-won heart of the dragon, he raised it to the heavens, starting the thawing of the Ice Giants. Tales diverge—some claim the giants resisted and revolted against Ortus, while others insist they melted and transformed into lakes and rivers. Still, some whispers remain that the Ice Giants linger in the unexplored realms of the frigid north, concealed and patient, anticipating another grand freeze to shroud the land in darkness once more.

Impressed by this extraordinary gift, the deities bestowed upon the composer a unique magic, allowing them to sway rain, wind, and clouds with the power of their songs.
When this maestro eventually returned to Vesper, they were granted the ability to traverse the cosmos. There, amidst the vast expanse, they continued to weave their captivating melodies, ensuring harmony and balance in the natural world.

Lunae's Scribe
A Novel
Lunae, with her all-seeing gaze, observed the turning of the world. The events unfolding on the land below held her captivated, and in her wisdom, she deemed it essential to document these events for the benefit of future Enivi.
Yet, each time she reached for her quill, some new and exciting event would unfold, or the perilous Dark Heart would attempt to draw nearer. No matter her efforts, she couldn't bring herself to divert her eyes for even a fleeting moment.
In the night, an owl watched her lament. It plucked a feather from its wing, gathered ink from the shadows, and began transcribing everything it could.
"Why, little owl, what are you doing?" she inquired.
"I am documenting all that I can. You safeguard us through day and night, Enivi or not, and I wish to assist in any way I can," he responded.
Moved by his gesture, she bestowed upon him a blessing of stardust. His feathers began to shimmer and glow as he ascended into the sky for a better vantage point. From that moment forth, he became her dedicated scribe, joyfully inscribing the annals of history within the very stars themselves.
The Moonlit Wanderer
The Moonlit Wanderer
A Novel
A crew of Lunaesi were sailing homeward from a distant port when they were besieged by a storm. Their vessel was tossed and twirled amidst the merciless waves of the sea, and when the tempest finally cleared, they found themselves dismally adrift. They scanned the horizon for land or birds, but all they beheld was the vast, unending expanse of the ocean.
With dwindling supplies, anxiety gripped the crew. That night, Lunae's celestial daughter, the Moonlit Wanderer, spied the ship from the stars. Intrigued, she called out to it.
"Why are you so far from land? It appears you're adrift with no particular destination," she asked.
"Oh, noble one! We were ensnared by a storm and thrown off course. Now, we are lost and running low on provisions. We do not know the way home," the captain replied.
The Moonlit Wander looked around them, as she had a much higher vantage point. She then returned her gaze to the ship.
"Follow me," she proclaimed, "and I shall guide you home."
The ship trailed behind her resplendent, colorful tail for two days, finally finding safe harbor.
Since that fateful day, sailors from all herds have paid homage to The Moonlit Wanderer, knowing that if ever lost, she will be there to lead them back home.
